Biography

Dr. Dawud Ansari is a distinguished expert in energy and climate, geopolitics, development, and foresight. As a policy advisor at the German Institute for International and Security Affairs (SWP Berlin) and a senior fellow at The Majan Council for Foresight, Strategic Affairs and Energy, he shapes pivotal policy decisions across the EU and GCC regions. With a PhD in applied economics, he is a member of the Mediterranean Energy Experts Circle and a fellow of the Arab-German Young Academy of Humanities and Sciences, collaborating furthermore with leading energy bodies such as the IEA, IRENA, and WEC. Dr. Ansari is also an adjunct professor at the Berlin Institute of Technology and the director of the Energy Access and Development Program. His influential academic publications and policy advisory work focus on technology foresight and decision support in energy, climate, and beyond.
